carrier) would not make a profit. The only reason Firefly chose Ipoh as their destination because they want create a market for the locals and frankly that is maybe the parent company's (MAS) profits are dwenling.
I'm sorry if my opinion might offen some of the local people but this the truth.....
Cheers
Also, the sticker that tag on to the luggage when you depart, is very messy to peel off.
I am searching for Sultan Azlan Shah Airport location but the website did not provide a location map of the airport. It will be good if it is available.
Terima kasih
So watch out if you have precious suitcases or bags.
This is a very trivial complaint, I know, but after long queues and poor service, it just magnifies the irritation.
Any removal tips are most welcome!

I also agree with what's Miss Yvonne said that, Ipoh airport can have more airlines for landing.. Not only for Firefly..etc: Jet star, AirAsia and Tiger Airline too ......!!
I hope you'll provide airport shuttle buses for the airport users. This will certainly facilitate them to travel between the city centre and the airport.
Please consider.
Finally the IPOH airport will re-open. My parents no need to take 10 hours bus from Ipoh to JB. Very Good news for them.

How about KL to Ipoh or Johore to Ipoh. Unable to find flight to Ipoh.
Every time I go back to Ipoh from Australia, I have to either
-travel from AUST either directly fly into KLIA then take a taxi to IPOH or
-fly into Singapore for stopover or re-connect my flight to KLIA then take a taxi home (IPOH).
With these connecting flights and excessive ground travels, I pretty much decide not to go home. Too much efforts and time consuming.
Not only it discourages tourism (domestic * international), but it also pushes away many potential investors in IPOH. IPOH is virtually turning herself into a "Death City" with only retirees reside in the city. Loosing many great talents to other states or countries for better career opportunities. This is a real shame for a promising city/town that has a lot to offer.
I urge the local/state Govertment to have strategic plans to revive the city of Ipoh and better manage the infrastructures in IPOH. I believe we want to come home to see our parents and reside there, but given the current status, it leaves much to be desired.
Have they ever think why the no. of passenger using air route is fallen?those passenger from? why the city getting less vibrant? no doubt KL and Iph are near and frequent bus route to ipoh or perhaps train in coming future but an aiport is gateway to world. I still can search Ipoh in Wiki so do not think the city is dead but either it needs some specific sector to boost it. Like its history when tin mines were booming, people flock into Iph. Maybe in this modern day, state goverment could think on a sector like electronics, manufacturing, furniture or ..i don't know..should we just give up the city where a place we used to call home??
In my opinion, an airport significantly boost commercial and industrial sector and subsequently promote tourism and other sector as well.
