why takde flight langkawi-ipoh direct ye. susahla nak gerak if ada meeting :((
Unbelievable that no water dispenser in the waiting room.
I have parked my car at the car park with a fee of RM3 per entry. However, the parking ticket that i received was only stated as RM2.
May i know what was the extra RM1 being charged for?
Can recovered Covid-19 Singaporean travel to Ipoh via non VTL flight without quarantine?
The needs to use paper as official tickets instead of using electronics devices is such a waste of time. Even the passengers already done checked-in online but still have to print out those tickets for entrance purposes. My advice would be, please use technology wisely. Be smart otherwise we’ll forever be in peril grave.
When I asked for a reason, security stated that I may use the tripod to hit someone as a blunt weapon which is completely absurd (and this is after a lot of talking between the security and thinking I cannot understand Behasa Melayu and what was going on). The best part is that security initially ALLOWED the tripod as carry-in and then decided otherwise quite a while later.
As a result, I was forced to pay for last min check-in just to be able to take my tripod back home.
Don't get me wrong, money is a small issue here. The big issue here is inconsistency and lack of information to travelers, making them spend unnecessary money.
Wujudkan laluan pergi balik Ipoh-Langkawi & Ipoh-Sabah. Ini adalah tumpuan pelancong dalam negeri. Cukup hanya sekadar hujung minggu untuk permulaan bagi memperlihatkan permintaan terhadap laluan ini.
"I have a question, this morning I taken flight Ipoh to Singapore( TR2485)I only take a few boxes of insulin diabetes on hand carry. But the ICA staff and aircraft staff said to me it can't be hand carry and must be check in. I just feeling confused because I has direct hand carry several times before and why now can't.I am very worried that my medicine can't be hot and broken.I am very dissatisfied with this situation! If I have wrong pls correct me. Thanks"
One suggestion is to ask your doctor to write a letter (written in official letter-headed paper, signed and stamped) , and along with your prescription, present it to the security check officer at the airport. Usually, with a doctor's letter and prescription, there is a likelihood they will they you take your insulin on board with you.
But it is unfortunate that there is no direct flight to KLIA2. It would be great if there are flights to the Capital Cities of other states in Malaysia.
First of all, I don't understand why does the airport has to be named after someone? There are plenty of ways to render hommage and naming a place with 3-4 words is not going to help people to remember it. IPOH AIRPORT/ Lapangan Terbang Ipoh is the best. Please don't use all other signboard names to create confusion.
Second of all, there is no shuttle buses that link the airport to the city centre. The authority in charge should provide this service to public. Nowadays, public transport and shuttle buses are essential in a city. Ipoh as the 3rd or 4th largest city in Malaysia doesn't seem to catch up with the other cities...Even Penang has better bus links. Please make more effort in developing Perak tourism.
Next, I would like to comment on the number of destinations available. Besides Singapore, I think Ipoh should try to entice more lowcoast companies to invest at this airport. From the economics' point of view, this move will not bring any harm to the city or the state. Ipoh has many sister cities. Perhaps the authority can work from that point.
May 5th, 2017 - IPH informed airlines that runway can be resumed at 10am. This caused a LOT of trouble for passengers from Singapore. Those on Tiger 0745 were rescheduled to 1345 and then 1545. Those on FY3542 0930 rescheduled to 1230. At 1200 noon FY3542 decided to reroute to SZB and will arrange coach to ferry pax to Ipoh.
All due to IPH not able to confirm if they are going to be closed whole day or complete.
At the end of the day IPH officially opened at 1600hrs so those on FY and TR evening flight was able to resume.
While we understand it is for safety reason, IPH should have firmly follow earlier directive of 24hrs closure. This makes arrangement easier and better expectation.
Seriously.
Malindo please resume IPH - SIN route.
Please provide IPH-KB on weekends. Students really need it. It takes 6-7 hours if we takes bus which is so long.
Cause ipoh is a boost tourism development can you just see that
p.s:
Hope that 'someone' read this message

What Terminal in Ipoh? Thankyou
Whenever you go onto the Malindo Air website to try and check for those flights avaialability, it comes up with no flights.
Does anyone know what's happening?
The airline is very good in PUBLICISING NEW SERVICES, but it seems very "hush-hush" in stopping or cancelling existing ones! Looks like this airline introduce new services and stops it at very short notice, am I correct to say that?
Correct me if I am mistaken please.
I hope Malindo Air reps, if they are reading this, tell me what really is going on , and what is the true story. I do not want to just guess, it's better to hear it from the company itself.
It appears there is only Malindo Air services to Johor Bahru and Singapore, if the Medan , Subang and Kota Bharu services are cancelled.
Shan again, just to introduce that, we have just open up an office for your convenience to rent a car in Ipoh Airport. Its under the banner of Thrifty Car rental.

Kestrel Airlines (Ipoh) says it will lease up to thirty-six Airbus Industrie and Boeing aircraft from China's Harmony Harvest Investment Holding Limited as part of plans to enter into the domestic Malaysian as well as the south-east Asian leisure market.
"We will operate the Ipoh-Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok-Guangzhou and Shanghai Pudong routes...for a start we are looking to fly to Hong Kong twice a week, then increase frequency based on demand," Kestrel Air president Ken Leong said in a press release. "The general aviation growth recently seen in China could represent the highest growth in the world in this sector and its aviation market is enormous and one for the future."
While the carrier is planning to launch operations before the end of the year, the extent of progress made in securing its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) with the Malaysian Department of Civil Aviation is currently unknown.

TQ.

Thank you so much for the route from ipoh to kota bahru, but can please revise the time schedule from ipoh to kota bahru? It would be great if it is at late evening for example 9pm.
......rEALLY MAKE U SICK
and why Ipoh Airport is very poor for arranging the flight.. what are the ipoh ministers doing..
2) Also I noticed a lot of Ipoh-ites have been recommending, and some almost "begging"(!), for airlines to serve more destinations from their beloved Ipoh airport. The only way to do that is for Ipoh residents to support existing services and fly more. So, when going on trips, please take fewer trains, buses and cars, and go by plane instead! When airlines see there is a demand for existing flights serving Ipoh, they will put in more flights, and hopefully they will add more destinations. You hear that dear Ipoh residents? Support your airport and airlines serving it, and your wishes (more flights to more destinations) may come true!
Thank You.
Mon, 10 Feb 2014, 10:26 am
Then ...........it's 2014 now and the airport still couldn't let airbus to landing here :)
Now................ now almost 2015 and it is same situation here.......
Ipoh airport......... Do something faster.........
Are you waiting for 2020!
Should consider flights on Thursday from K.L. to Ipoh since weekend starts on Fridays in Kelantan. There will be good demand among students travelling to homeland. Maybe that would be least you could offer for east folks.
Hoping for the best!!
tq.
Need more support feedback from you. Please put in your request now.
Dear Airasia, Malindo and Firefly,

FIREFLY CONCERN (IPOH, PERAK)
Thu, 15 May 2014, 9:41 pm
Dear Perak folks,
Firefly will be introducing the IPOH-JOHOR BAHRU new route this September. We will have 4x weekly flights for the start. It will be also having 4x daily flights to SINGAPORE soon.
Please suggest Firefly to introduce the IPOH-KOTA BAHRU and IPOH-MEDAN route too.

Ipoh to Kuching (B737-9GPER)
Ipoh to Medan (ATR72-600)
Ipoh to Langkawi (ATR-72-600)
Thank you.
Please allow more for competition.
We (Rakyat, airport, Ipoh, business) are loser and MAS is the only winner now.
Our population more than million, definitely able to sustain an airport.
Not believe? check how many bus to/from Ipoh/nearby Ipoh. and ask around your friends or relative how many of them are working away from Ipoh.
Please advise that how can an airport sustainable with only 2 flight daily as so many staff (immigration/police/tourism/cleaner/ground staff/etc) working there?
When Air Asia going to launch Ipoh Singapore flight? Firefly expensive.
such a depress to travel by bus every holiday cause its very long journey ..hurts my back..
Since you are adding more services via Ipoh airport, can you please consider Ipoh -kul -Ipoh route for our flight connection.
With MNC like Vale Brazil in Perak, we definitely need better connection to bring in more business travellers and tourists to Perak.
Ipoh-kk kk-ipoh ipoh-kk kk-ipoh!!!!!!!
commented since last year! when when when?!
It is already a joke that millions can be spend building something which can;t be used and even a bigger joke is that the Authority thinks that the problem will just go away playing deaf to the out cry of fellow ipoh citizens.
How many of our children needs to be parted from their parents because of the dragging economy in Ipoh? I wish I could see a day where youth would want to stay because Ipoh provides equal job opportunity. Having a minimum workable airport is the first step.
TQ.

Team Of FlyingFox
It's sad moment as there were no any action were brought up by thre respective personals to resolve issus. Is the Airport Authorities taking a ride our Ipohrians for ride by giving inrelavant excuses.
As our government had declare 2014 as visit year malaysia but state of Perak does not have meaning for that.....as there were no planes to promote perak and the city.
Since by seeing the feedbacks and suggestions by public , but it seems like the respective were not bothering on it.
I hope the respective Authorities would able react positively and advise the public on the outcome request.
Thanks
I want an answer now and please don't give the rubbish answer to me.
- did our expert people involved in this project did really know what they are doing as the results of it, we still cannot have planes with the size of 737 to land here ?
- even the local authority will only able to comment "WE WILL TRY TO HELP" , this meaning we can dream on it !
( pls refer to star paper 28/dec/13 )
- after spending so much of money , we got a statement that our Ipoh Airport having sinkholes on the side if the runway which can endanger large air crafts . ( refer to starpaper 28/dec/13 - starmetro page 8 -Perak )
What the hack are they doing ?
This will continue and we as the Perakians , can be consider a real idiot to listen and believe this people again and again and again .
As our Datuk Bandar Datuk Roshidi said
WE WILL TRY TO HELP
Believe it or not , or wait for another Person to say the same .

TQ !
Ipoh-Subang
Ipoh-Kota Bahru
Ipoh-Johor Bahru
Ipoh-Medan
invest in Ipoh properties but the drawback is
There is no direct flight linked to these two states. Any good new news in the nest two years
I am currently working in Kuching. I have to transit at Singapore everytime am going back to my hometown from Kuching. This is very costly and wasting time compared to have direct flight from KCH to IPH
I hope ministry can take action to improve this airport. I believed thats a lot of people being complaining about the flight destination.
Fine is KUL to IPH flight is non reasonable trip, but please consider on the long distance trip, Kota Bharu, Langkawi, Johor Bharu and Kuching or Kota Kinabalu.
ipoh-kl
ipoh-jb-
ipoh-kota bahru
ipoh-kuantan
seems there might have high demands for this route.
If all ipoh ppl post on airasia facebook, we might have a chance to convince them to use Ipoh as a feeder airport.
I am so sick of having to travel 3 hrs just to take a plane in LCCT to other places
Very demanded route.
Sriwijaya Air is going to operate Ipoh-Medan and Ipoh-Jakarta route by this year. November 8 commence the Ipoh-Medan route.
Make sure for daily flights.

Thank You !
We want flights from Ipoh.
Ipoh-Kota Bahru
Ipoh-Subang
Ipoh-Johor Bahru
Ipoh-Medan
Ipoh-Penang
These are all the potential routes from here.
Thank You.
I bet if I say something bad about the government, the Sultan or the Agung, then the authorities will response to my comments.
And what is the issue to add more domestic flights??
Its really funny, only 1 destination and to Singapore (International)WHY? doesnt make sense...
Sibu, Sarawak is the biggest settlement for Foo Chow Chinese in Malaysia..and Setiawan,Perak is the 2nd.. don't anybody see the connection over here..If there is a flight from ipoh to sibu and vice versa..maybe these will connect these to city together and could be a good business.. There a lot of rich businessman in Sibu and Setiawan.. So Ipoh airport authority should at least think about this..
airport ipoh tu.. Bina baru pun xleh pakai.. Bazir duit rakyat
je.. Asyik2, selangor je dpt yg terbaik dr kerajaan.. Dh la ade
byk airport.. Eg(subang, klia n lcct), pastu nk tmbh lg klia 2..
Siapa pernah pergi sibu..tgk airport diorg..mmg gah utk bandar
tu.. Ipoh ni name je bandaraya..airport mcm sial..blah lah wei kerajaan..malaysia airport berhad xgune..mcm sial jgk..
Any now Firefly can fly in and see the price is more exp than flying to other ASEAN countries even HK in budget airlines. U just lost a big pie Mr Fernandes consider the profit margin of the SGP-IPH line.
But anyway hope to have more flight to Ipoh in order to get boost our Ipoh market.
It means TigerAir's Airbus 320 can serve Ipoh if the financial incentives are there.
But still hoping they still consider to expand into Ipoh and need support from State Government on this project.
The game is simple, get some new domestic routes, put in a few routes from Indonesia, Hong Kong/Macau & China, Ipoh will definitely flourish once more....plenty of good food, places of natural interest, affordable standard of living & properties. Ipoh has been in the slum for too long..
1. So many tourist attractions (caves, lost world of tambun)and local delicacies (too much to list out).
2. Facilities like the UTC has also been built, simplifying the process such as Passport renewal and license renewal
3. Bus transportation and interchange Medan Gopeng is only a mere 10 - 15 minutes to the airport
4. Hotels also have been built nearby such as the new Tune Hotel by AirAsia.
With all these already in hand, all you need to do is get more flight to Ipoh and slowly gain traction by offering domestic and flights to Singapore. Once you have the profit, you can expand the runway again.
Ipoh is really of the places that is middle of everything. Don't you think it is a waste if you neglect the Airport?
Ipoh - Johor Bahru
Ipoh - Singapore
Ipoh - Kota Bharu
Ipoh - Medan
Ipoh - Kota Kinabalu
Yes there is a transport from Ipoh which is convienences and provide by our travels agents to all tourist. Should you have any question , you can call us at 012-4611211 for further information
Better for Perak Gov. to build a new airport with 6,000ft length Runway with provision to extend another 1,000ft in future.
Btw, A320 does not requires 3.5km to take off and land. Airlines company simply bluff for nothing. However, 2km runway length is simply not enough for a safe take off and landing for a fully loaded A320 (or even a B738), that's the fact we need to admit.
Having domestic MH flights connecting flights between Ipoh and KLIA are good as this is particularly important for for overseas visitors and frequent business travellers.
Don't just hope for flights between Indonesia and Singapore as this is not a strategic move to only cater for this group of customers! This doesn't drive business opportunities and tourism!
Wake up Ipohites and the local council!
As thru what i survey with airlines , our Ipoh airport is been extended in 2 km at current stage. So it will not be able to meet up requirement of A-320 for air asia to come down to Ipoh as this acrft needs at least 3.5 km to land Ipoh.So the only aircraft can land into ipoh will be B 7347 -400 . So they might be a flight Jhb- Ipoh - Jhb and Iph - Haadyai - Ipoh soon if aircraft available and might be starting in April 2013 .So should any info i will keep informed here or can email me to laikvv9389@gmail.com for details
There is huge demand for business and leisure travellers for this sector. Just look at Yoyo and other 2 bus companies who operate Ipoh -KLIA/LCCT bus route service, the passengers loading factor is more than 80% for about 20 services daily.
Why MAS/Air Asia is having price war to compete with each other while there is niche market for the IPH/KUL sector ?
Ipoh Airport authority should ask for more flight to/from IPH to utilise the airport which just ugraded the runway. Ipoh City need more foreigners/tourists to stimulate the economy. Can we expect some flight from Ipoh/KUL in the next 3 months ?
2. Why Fireflyz airfare is so much higher than other budget or non-budget airlines? Anything is special and better from Fireflyz?
3. Why there is no more Airasia flight to Ipoh?
Talking about turning the airport into having international flights was really history .
So, are we going to wait another ten years with talking only?
Perakian deserve more and Ipoh airport must really make a change !
amongst developing countries that create opportunities for its raayat

Its time for Ipoh to build a new airport to save our time and this will improve Ipoh's economy. I think this is a necessity and the first priority which need to be done ASAP.
Ipoh is a beautiful place but its way too inconvenient to reach there.
At least Air Asia should start flying from LCCT to Ipoh.
I just came back from sibu and it is not capitol city of sarawak, even sibu have more flight than ipoh.
What a shame..every time a person want to go to east malaysia, they have to go to either klcc or lcct,it is tiresome..
People from ipoh have money too..
Does Ipoh Airport have any car rental service?
THanks
THE Global Flying Hospitals (GFH), an international body that brings humanitarian medical support to developing countries, is willing to build a new airport in Seri Iskandar, about 40km from Ipoh.
State Infrastructure and Public Utilities chairman Datuk Ho Cheng Wang said the project which is expected to cost about RM301mil would not only be used for GFH’s operations but also to accommodate bigger aircraft such as Boeing 747s.
Ho said the GFH proposal was among the options being considered by a special committee comprising the Transport Ministry, the State Economic Planning Unit, the Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department, and the State Development Cor-poration which had met thrice so far.
Ho, who is also a member of the special committee, said it was important to have a new airport because no aeroplane was landing at the Sultan Azlan Shah airport now.
Speaking at a press conference, he said the other option being considered was to extend the runway to 1,981m from the present length of 1,798m at a cost of RM70mil but this could only accommodate the landings of A320 Airbus.
“Under the second proposal, the Sultan Azlan Shah airport runway will be extended to 2,400m at a cost of RM390mil but this will entail the acquisition of land and 605 houses have to go.
“I personally prefer the closing down of the airport so that Ipoh town can see high-rise buildings.
“The Civil Aviation Department has restricted the height of buildings in the town due to the presence of the airport nearby,” he added.
Ho said the GFH proposal was “logically better” as the body would bear the cost of construction of the new airport in Seri Iskandar.
“The proposed airport in Seri Iskandar will have a 3,780m-long runway and dual lanes, enabling aircraft of any size to land and take off simultaneously,” he said.
However, he said a final decision would be made after the Perak Government received feedback from the people.
Ho said Seri Iskandar was an ideal location since it was near the recently launched Northern Corridor Economic Region en-compassing Perlis, Kedah, Penang and northern Perak.
He said the Perak Government has offered 450ha of land in Seri Iskandar for a premium of RM10 and the area is already the home of various higher learning institutions such as Universiti Petronas and UiTM.
“The areas have also been identified for the Malaysia My Second Home Programme.
“Seri Iskandar is also about 30 minutes’ drive to Kampar, Ipoh and Pangkor, the prime tourist destination of Perak,” he added.
Where all of this.. almost 4 years this statement out.. but why they didn't work for it?????
I'm very hope that states goverment will built a new airport for perakian since the exist airport surrounding with house, industrial, etc..
The existing airport that under the construction let it proceed and take this aiport for flight trainning, PDRM, ATM, etc..
And the new airport let be the International Airport..
carrier) would not make a profit. The only reason Firefly chose Ipoh as their destination because they want create a market for the locals and frankly that is maybe the parent company's (MAS) profits are dwenling.
I'm sorry if my opinion might offen some of the local people but this the truth.....
Cheers
Also, the sticker that tag on to the luggage when you depart, is very messy to peel off.
I am searching for Sultan Azlan Shah Airport location but the website did not provide a location map of the airport. It will be good if it is available.
Terima kasih
So watch out if you have precious suitcases or bags.
This is a very trivial complaint, I know, but after long queues and poor service, it just magnifies the irritation.
Any removal tips are most welcome!

I also agree with what's Miss Yvonne said that, Ipoh airport can have more airlines for landing.. Not only for Firefly..etc: Jet star, AirAsia and Tiger Airline too ......!!
I hope you'll provide airport shuttle buses for the airport users. This will certainly facilitate them to travel between the city centre and the airport.
Please consider.
Finally the IPOH airport will re-open. My parents no need to take 10 hours bus from Ipoh to JB. Very Good news for them.

How about KL to Ipoh or Johore to Ipoh. Unable to find flight to Ipoh.
Every time I go back to Ipoh from Australia, I have to either
-travel from AUST either directly fly into KLIA then take a taxi to IPOH or
-fly into Singapore for stopover or re-connect my flight to KLIA then take a taxi home (IPOH).
With these connecting flights and excessive ground travels, I pretty much decide not to go home. Too much efforts and time consuming.
Not only it discourages tourism (domestic * international), but it also pushes away many potential investors in IPOH. IPOH is virtually turning herself into a "Death City" with only retirees reside in the city. Loosing many great talents to other states or countries for better career opportunities. This is a real shame for a promising city/town that has a lot to offer.
I urge the local/state Govertment to have strategic plans to revive the city of Ipoh and better manage the infrastructures in IPOH. I believe we want to come home to see our parents and reside there, but given the current status, it leaves much to be desired.
Have they ever think why the no. of passenger using air route is fallen?those passenger from? why the city getting less vibrant? no doubt KL and Iph are near and frequent bus route to ipoh or perhaps train in coming future but an aiport is gateway to world. I still can search Ipoh in Wiki so do not think the city is dead but either it needs some specific sector to boost it. Like its history when tin mines were booming, people flock into Iph. Maybe in this modern day, state goverment could think on a sector like electronics, manufacturing, furniture or ..i don't know..should we just give up the city where a place we used to call home??
In my opinion, an airport significantly boost commercial and industrial sector and subsequently promote tourism and other sector as well.
